Beyond the Veil

Start: mail from Queen Alwenielle (lost it? Jerol in the Village of Shin  -90, -3, 82 gives a new one)

Queen Alwenielle asks you to help her hide the last Chaos Stone away from the Primordial Malice - by swapping it for a forgery deep inside the Arcanna'se Spire.

  • Speak with your queen per alignment: good → Queen Amree in the Fae Royal Hall, Kelethin  422, 137, 263; evil → Queen Cristanos in the Darklight Palace, Neriak  -578, 33, -193.
  • Click the tinkered portal-gate to Thalumbra - Kelethin  299, 127, 308 or Neriak  30, 4, 318.
  • Speak with Queen Alwenielle at the Tylwyth's Hut in Zou'Lidelas  -334, 242, 384.
    • The hut is suspended ~50m up in the branches - if the grove looks empty, look up.
  • Gather 8 blushing umbrite (small white geodes with a red glow, not trackable) around Penumbra Expansion  567, 56, -688 or Aberrant Isle  127, 33, -815; return to Queen Alwenielle.
  • Enter Arcanna'se Spire: Revealed via the portal in the Abyssal Chasm  -62, 19, 161:
    • Collect an Arcane Gate Seal spell (a flapping page) from the library podium  141, 3, -21 or the binding room  160, 6, -63.
    • Click the scribe's arcane podium  148, 3, 15 twice to scribe and cast the spell, opening the doors.
    • Find the portal crystal (a blue orb) at a random spot in the room  -44, 4, 20, then repair the damaged portal anchor  56, 1, 27 and step through the new portal  51, 1, 19.
  • Follow Queen Alwenielle to the Zou Crystalline; take the imitation Chaos Stone from her and click the Zou Crystalline  -471, 30, -57 to swap the stones.
  • The Queen teleports you (screen flashes pure white) to a beach near Twark in Obulus Frontier  108, -243, -919, where the Crusaders of Greenmist capture you - wake in chains beside Trooper Sotek in Crusader's Cave  733, 249, 1335 (recast your mount).

Reward: ~1g 35s · the Scribe's Arcane Podium house item · Obulus Frontier Access (account-wide on first completion).

Opportunity 'Noks

Start: Trooper Sotek  731, 250, 1336 (won't appear until quest 1 is done)

  • Speak with Trooper Sotek in Crusader's Cave  731, 250, 1336.
  • Kill 8 nearby Sel'Nok infiltrators.
  • Return to Trooper Sotek - knocked unconscious by the infiltrator that jumped him while you fought - to finish.

Reward: ~1g 35s · +15,000 Crusaders of Greenmist.

Obulus Frontier · Crusader's Cave

Ghost Whisperer

Start: Setri Lur'eth  620, 242, 1186

  • Find the nameless iksar spirit near the mouth of Crusader's Cave  702, 222, 904; speak - it runs off.
  • Find the spirit again by a lavapool  466, 136, 724; speak, then defeat the magma elemental (lvl 102–103^^ golem) that attacks.
  • Continue the conversation, then kill more magma elementals (in the surrounding lava pools) until one drops the Ancient Knife Hilt - usually 8–15 kills.
  • Speak with the spirit once more, then return to Setri Lur'eth  620, 242, 1186.

Reward: ~1g 42s.

Drake Disposal Duty

Start: Zhazsze  645, 250, 1300 · needs Sathirian

  • Collect 12 Ashblaze Drake Heads in Wurmscale Barrens  -211, 122, 580.
  • Return to Zhazsze.

Reward: ~1g 53s · status · your choice of Glowing Lavastone Focus, Burning Firescale Charm or Fiery Draketail Scale.

Obulus Frontier → Nye'Caelona

Forgotten Lands

Start: Hierophant Prime Jarakkas  627, 253, 1338

  • Inspect the odd obelisk outside the mouth of Crusader's Cave  738, 277, 805; return to Jarakkas.
  • Search for another arcane obelisk in Giant's Walk  -814, 187, 614; kill the attacking giant.
  • Find the place known as Nye'Caelona  -315, 137, -155 and explore it.
    • When you land, a guard auto-teleports you to Kylong Plains (scripted - happens regardless of faction). You only need to survive one hit; a Geomancer can encase and port you instead.
    • Run back through the tunnel in Kylong Plains  2327, 161, -2925 to return to Obulus Frontier (resummon your mount).
  • Return to Hierophant Prime Jarakkas  627, 253, 1338.

Nye'Caelona · Twark

History in Stone

Start: Hierophant Prime Jarakkas · needs Draconic + Sathirian + Goblish

  • Fly to the top of the Nye'Caelona spire  -202, 228, -239 (Runekeeper Talisyn, Scrollkeeper Sataleeti, High Arcanist Faxalim).
    • Hail Scrollkeeper Sataleeti to "eavesdrop," then follow their conversation and convince them of your usefulness.
  • Kill 8 stoneleers in Giant's Walk  -427, 89, 267 and 6 gnashers in Grunt's Pass  -220, -60, 196; return to Runekeeper Talisyn  -200, 228, -238.
  • Fly to the broken Conductor stone on the north-west coast  708, -155, -667 and attempt to recharge it - a pair of Bloody Tooth goblins attack (you needn't kill them).
  • Search Twark for the Obfuscation Pylon: click all 4 rune-inscribed stones in order -  137, -240, -861,  103, -173, -831,  65, -165, -738,  244, -179, -740 - then find the pylon (a grey obelisk with a red outline) at one of six random Twark locations.
  • Repair the damaged Obfuscation Pylon  707, -155, -669, apply the conductor stone, then return to Runekeeper Talisyn  -200, 228, -239.

Reward: your choice of Spellwoven Tah'Re / Nye'Caelona gloves · +10,000 Nye'Caelona · the Cae'Dal Star guild-hall portal now routes to Nye'Caelona.

A Chosen Weapon

Start: Hierophant Prime Jarrakas  627, 253, 1338 · needs Artisan L2 + Greenmist HQ done

Forge a Greenmist weapon to prove Rile is Cazic-Thule's Chosen - then have it blessed by fear itself in Outer Sebilis.

  • Enter Crypt of Dalnir: Baron's Workshop (Solo)  785, -129, -586. (At 120 you MUST mentor / Chrono down to 100 - the unlock chest won't drop if the named are grey.)
  • Recover an Obulus wizard's mirror from a casket  -144, 31, 29 (kill Tootooz the Cryptomaniac to make the niche walls clickable; break every jar in both rooms - one drops a door key).
  • Progress to Haggle Baron Dalnir at the back; hail him with the mirror, hail again, then kill him to earn Dalnir's Work Chest Key.
  • Gather the (fresh) crafting components scattered in the rooms:
    • Recipe for "Greenmist Design Pattern" from the work chest  -280, 26, -441 (needs the key)
    • Khukri blade mold  -305, 28, -465 · 3 imbued tynnonium  -176, 28, -440 · 2 coal · fear-soaked leather  -161, 26, -442
  • Construct the khukri blade at one of the forges in Dalnir's room.
  • Have the weapon blessed by fear: talk to Xuurk in Outer Sebilis, Kunzar Jungle  -347, -116, 1009, then return to Hierophant Prime Jarrakas.

Reward: Obulus Wizard's Mirror · ~1g 42s · status · Dread's or Fear's Visage of Greenmist. (Obulus Frontier now appears on the Wizard Spire.)

Seeking Reassurance

Start: Hierophant Prime Jarrakas  626, 254, 1339 (after Damage the Trust)

  • Speak with Captain Tazthas  674, 253, 1407, then Hierophant Prime Jarrakas  625, 253, 1337 - confirm the quest reads "Ensure Choosooth's mission success" before you leave.
  • Enter Lost City of Torsis: Reaver's Remnants (Solo) from Kunzar Jungle  -257, 150, -1158.
  • Clear the instance, then find Chosooth behind a false wall past the last named  38, -5, -1215 (follow a floating head through the illusory wall near  -16, -5, -1130); he hands you the Vial of Iksar Blood.
  • Report to Dominus Rile at Riliss in Fens of Nathsar  -807, 67, -60.

Reward: ~1g 42s · status · your choice of a Spellwoven Tah'Re / Nye'Caelona shoulder piece.

Reading Assignment

Start: Dominus Rile at Riliss  -809, 67, -60

  • Enter Kaesora: Xalgozian Stronghold (Solo) in Fens of Nathsar  345, 20, -1307.
  • Kill the Writ of War  -479, 10, -24 - a 15-minute timer starts.
  • Return to Dominus Rile at Riliss  -809, 67, -60 and speak with him.

Reward: ~1g 42s · status · Chosooth's Undying Accolade or Rile's Eternal Accolade.

Obulus Frontier · Medallion hunt

Resurrection Machination

Start: Hssiss in the Crusader's Cave entrance tunnel  726, 230, 1001 - needs the full Obulus Medallion first

  • Assemble the Obulus Medallion from 3 shards, each from an Obulus Frontier sub-chain:
    • Middle Shard - Artifacts of Life (Trader Gorakris)
    • Top Shard - Case of the Missing Headpiece (Thaalia Faerel)
    • Bottom Shard - Ghosts and Gooblins (Chorch); its chain includes a night-only step (Get A 'Shroom from Ghawg, 8pm–6am).
  • Use the Middle Shard to combine the medallion, then gather Drusella's bones in Charasis: Maiden's Chamber (lvl 101+ enter via the Maiden's Chamber door in Jarsath Wastes  816, -128, 371, un-mentored).
  • Place the bones on the fractured runestone in Twark  269, -179, -659; listen to Xalgoz's speech.
  • Return to Captain Tazthas  673, 253, 1406, report to Dominus Rile  -807, 70, -90, then take the Weapon of Fear's Chosen from Hierophant Prime Jarrakas  626, 254, 1337.
  • Place the Greenmist on the runestone crystal in Twark  269, -179, -659 to start the public quest Long Live the Emperor! and complete it.
    • Soloing it? Click the runestone center a second time the moment the PQ starts for a major buff - a level-100 character can then beat the timer alone.
  • Return to Captain Tazthas  673, 253, 1406.

The Nightmare · VaedenmoorFinale

A Nightmare Realized

Start: Setri Lur'eth  622, 242, 1186

The stone an ancient being pressed into your hands leads you, through Lanys T'Vyl's own portal, to a final reckoning with the Goddess of Nightmare.

  • Kill Obulus remnants in Western Warslik's Woods  583, 172, -467 for 8 drops - night only, 8pm–5am game time.
  • Return to Setri Lur'eth  622, 242, 1186; follow the dialogue and tell her you were given a stone by an ancient being.
  • Hail Lanys T'Vyl and enter her portal within Crusader's Cave (solo, or with a merc only).
  • Explore Vaedenmoor, Realm of Despair:
    • Slay a Kaniz ravager and a Nightmarish acolyte flanking the central platform, then walk up to Lanys T'Vyl.
    • Confront the Goddess of Nightmare  7, 313, 119 - attack Terris-Thule (^^^108 Epic x4) and fight until you are disarmed or dead.
  • Report back to your queen: Queen Cristanos in Neriak or Queen Amree in Kelethin.

Reward: the Hazrat Kingfeather flying mount · Nye'Caelona → Thalumbra Travel Unlock · ~28g · status - and the Ascension Trainers unlock.

Up next: this line leads into Planes of Prophecy (the Ascension system you just unlocked is its core). The Terrors of Thalumbra line isn't required, but finishing it grants the triumph achievement's best-in-slot offhand.
