A linear, gated chain - flight in each zone unlocks only as you finish that zone's signature step, so expect to run on foot early.

Whispers of the Gods

Start: Head Scholar Nabihan, Luclin Nexus  376, -36, 776 (in the Nexus, not the city)

Nabihan needs a Drinalian whisper column carved and blessed so the scholars can finally hear the voice that has been calling across the shadowed moon.

  • Obtain 6 flawless luclizite ore - mine piles of rocks (not a guaranteed drop, untrackable). Try -19, -1, -24 -298, -2, -112 -249, -2, 154, plus The Bazaar, Shadow Haven and the Nexus.
  • Take the ore to Yedrik Stoneeye in the Mithril Merchant Stalls, The Bazaar  -159, -1, -95 to have it carved into a whisper column.
  • Obtain the Drinalian quicksilver from one of these in the House of Midst area:
    • Lyya Alumere  611, -23, -613 after finishing Lend a Helping Hand.
    • Evuar Vrottoth  720, -8, -504 after finishing Crime Pays Someone.
  • Speak with Head Scholar Nabihan at the Haven of Worship, Shadow Haven  -848, 0, -145.
  • Place the Drinalian Whisper Column  -846, 0, -150, then sanctify it.
  • Interact with the sanctified column to speak with Calum, Drinal's Steward.
  • Report back to Head Scholar Nabihan.

Echo Caverns

Echoes In the Deep

Start: Head Scholar Nabihan, Shadow Haven  -848, 0, -145

  • Enter Echo Caverns via the zone-in from the Luclin Nexus (zone in - a bauble will not update).
  • Speak with the miner Saef Stennes  18, 158, -28.
  • Explore in sequence:
    • The Chlorochamber  225, 158, 427
    • Head east to the rushing water  -297, 179, 339
    • North of the Colossal Cascades  -174, 218, 120
    • Sounds of battle, NE of Tuatara Rim  -425, 207, -58
    • Shattered Chasm until you hear a voice  -379, 136, -263
  • Find out who warned you: seek the echoing voice in Shattered Chasm  -88, 125, -189, then investigate the green shiny the tegi left behind at the same spot.
  • Click the Mystical Stone  -208, 115, -339, then step onto the geomanced transport it unlocks  -209, 115, -328.
  • Speak with Vinzerah Ral'Moor at the Hermit's Hideaway  -187, 314, -321.
  • Find The Scepter of Below: ride the transport back down and continue west to the city of Zel Manann  697, 17, -467; the scepter is at  752, 11, -498.
    • Click the scepter to spawn a zelmie elite enforcer, then defeat it (re-click to respawn if you miss the update - other enforcers won't count), then click the scepter again.
  • Return to Vinzerah Ral'Moor via the transporter  -187, 313, -322.
  • Seek Dolgan Inkeye in The Bazaar to read the arcane map  -58, -1, 60.

Hireling here: Daharth Bisidia (Shadowknight, Fabled) sits on The King's Cap in Echo Caverns  403, 238, -372 if you want a tank for the named.

Mapping the Dark

Start: Dolgan Inkeye, The Bazaar  -57, -1, 60

  • Speak with Captain Meryn Gleamheart in the Luclin Nexus  270, -36, 848 to ask after Zofia; he gives Never Let You Echo.
  • Complete Never Let You Echo, then its follow-up Save the Last Blast For Me.
  • Speak with Zofia Cobbleshod in the Nexus  362, -36, 829.
  • Return to Dolgan Inkeye in The Bazaar  -57, -1, 60.

Reward: Fungus Fiend Plushie · coin.

Echo Caverns → Savage Weald

Echo the Distance

Start: Dolgan Inkeye, The Bazaar  -57, -1, 60  ·  you can now fly in Echo Caverns

  • Zone into Echo Caverns through the Nexus - a travel bauble will not update this quest.
  • Find the passage to the surface along the northern edge of Chasm Fiend Cliffs. Just inside the entrance, look up and east for a ceiling passage  -106, 249, -43 that leads to Chasm Fiend Cliffs  -240, 264, -145, then continue to a second passage  -351, 194, -446.
  • Place Inkeye's survey marker in the Savage Weald  -388, 289, -861.
  • Speak with the Vah Shir ghost, Tiesh, right beside the marker.

Zone, don't bauble. This step in particular only updates if you zone into Echo Caverns manually through the Nexus - a travel bauble will not register.

Reward: Acrylia Coin of Savage Weald (grants access to Savage Weald and its dungeons) · coin · choice of a Toxic Polypore boot (cloth / leather / chain / plate).

Savage Weald · Grimling Forest

Facing the Savage Beast

Start: Tiesh, Savage Weald  -385, 287, -890

  • Hunt grimlings for 8 Savior Tashakhi icons:
    • Click the aeromanced transport disk east of Tiesh  -585, 271, -809 to descend to Grimling Forest.
    • Kill grimling guards and bloodswords in the camps  -425, 60, -631 for the 8 semi-rare small-chest drops.
  • Click The Altar of Tashakhi in the Dartspitter Camp  -630, 37, -525, then defeat the attacking Tashakhi priests.
  • Return to Tiesh  -385, 287, -890 (use the transport disk  -738, 40, -647 or Evac to return quickly).
  • Speak with Head Scholar Nabihan, who appears near you  -378, 287, -888.
  • Enter the Cadaverist Caves  -911, 72, -417 and search for Khati Sha the Twisted  -1130, 70, -351.
  • Use Nabihan's Homing Rune Crystal to summon Nabihan and start the fight; click Nabihan first to cut the damage you take, then defeat Khati Sha (stand right on him) and click his remains.
  • Collect Khati Sha's phylacteries:
    • First from the Ruins of Shar Makhdi  -271, 56, -616.
    • Second from Skullcracker Isle  38, 31, -116 (grimlings here are Heroic - swim in from the sea side to reach it without fighting).
    • Third needs side quests in order: Bats All, Folks! (Maufoul  -774, 33, -642) → Lost Memories (Grelas the Old  -836, 43, -800) → Memories Are Made of This (a grimling memory  -136, 85, -691); then take it at the Smitetooth Clan Camp  -836, 43, -797.
  • Travel to Nabihan's rendezvous point  -726, 35, -95 and speak with Scout Kiira (resummon your mount - flight in Savage Weald is now unlocked).

Savage Weald · Chaotic Caverns & Fort Grim

Spirited Attacks

Start: Scout Kiira, Savage Weald  -726, 35, -95

  • Travel to Chaotic Caverns  -895, 74, -377, enter Savage Weald: Chaotic Caverns [Solo] and proceed through (good time to run Stirring Trouble alongside).
    • Click the portal near a purple wall  -1143, 69, -521, then run to the totem  -1078, 67, -494.
    • Leave via the exit portal  -1146, 69, -483.
  • Return to Scout Kiira  -726, 35, -95 and speak with her and Head Scholar Nabihan beside her.
  • Find and click the Ward Totem of Hollowshade Reach  -290, 60, -288 to present the phylactery, then try to collect the cracked phylactery that spawns next to it.
  • Follow the Skullcracker grimling into Savage Weald: Fort Grim (Solo) - the entrance is a totem lamp post  -82, 30, -259.
  • Recover the stolen cracked phylactery (good time to run Mess of Trouble too):
    • Kill Ulosi and Ulcine Nacisroc  -29, 43, -272 - joust out of the white circles, kill adds with AOEs.
    • Kill Chief Gadzuuks  107, 51, -211, same circle mechanic.
  • Return to Scout Kiira.

City of Shar Vahl

Shadow on the Vahl

Start: Scout Kiira, Savage Weald  -726, 35, -95

  • Enter the City of Shar Vahl and speak with Scout Kiira there  -110, 30, -273.
  • Earn the blessing of The Dar Khura: complete Aquatic Ailments Encountered → Song of Healing from Khazla Aradir  4, 9, -215.
  • Earn the support of The Jharin: complete Vahl That Remains from Dahnji Hujara  -275, 35, 130.
  • Return to Scout Kiira and speak again.
  • Click the palace door  -48, 95, 342 to enter Kerrath Palace: Royal Audience, then speak with King Bhusla Savarah and the pride elders (zoom the camera out so all NPCs are on screen).
  • Leave the palace and speak to Hymnist Wadakha at The Jharin Assemblage  -84, 31, -411, continuing into the Secret Scriptorium.
  • Exit the Scriptorium, then obtain a Sahteb Mahlni Gem Fetish from Sakhar Niridri in the Keep of The Khala Dun  -287, 47, -311.
  • Return to Hymnist Wadakha at The Jharin Assemblage.

Multi-zone → Shadeweaver's Thicket

Whispered Blessings

Start: Hymnist Wadakha, The Jharin Assemblage  -84, 31, -411  ·  requires several zone sub-quests

  • Speak to Head Scholar Nabihan in the Luclin Nexus  375, -36, 776.
  • Return to Shar Vahl and speak to Hymnist Wadakha at The Jharin Assemblage  -84, 31, -410.
  • Enter Shadeweaver's Thicket via the Shadeweaver Gate  -353, 92, 178 and prepare for the Feral Spirit offering:
    • Prepare your soul: complete Feral Offerings, The Whole Owlbear and Thieves in the Thicket.
    • Prepare your body: complete Spirits in the Night and Spirits Amongst Them!
  • Speak with Haadirr Darjin in Shadeweaver's Thicket  -480, 158, -796.
  • Return to Hymnist Wadakha in Shar Vahl  -84, 31, -410 (stand near him - no quest feather this time).
  • Speak with Al'Kabor's projection  -89, 31, -408, then with Hymnist Wadakha again.

Vexing Challenge

Start: Hymnist Wadakha, The Jharin Assemblage  -84, 31, -411

  • Search around Vex Thal in Shadeweaver's Thicket  -203, 61, 103 for a clue to gain entrance.
  • Start the sub-quests that spawn Xawon - Ka Vethan Regrets and As Ishinae Intended, both from Ne'xath  -202, 61, 106 - then speak with Xawon  -211, 62, 114.
  • Hunt 6 deadly shadefiends in the crevasse between Shadeweaver's Thicket and Needlespine Beach  199, 14, -200, then speak with Xawon again.
  • Collect a full set of va vex runes (auto-update) from the minions in front of the Vex Thal Portal  26, 151, 492:
    • Dat / Dax / Lor runes from Vex Thal stalkers, pursuers and deathstalkers.
    • Kel / Kelera runes from Akhevan enthrallers.
    • Raf / Set / Tak runes from enslaved grimlings.
    • Ved / Vin runes from shadowy assassins (Ved may surface from the ground  9, 149, 473 following black smoke).
  • Speak with Xawon  -211, 62, 114.

Vex Thal · Shadow Citadel Finale

Against Thal Odds

Start: Xawon, Shadeweaver's Thicket  -211, 62, 114

  • Click the portal inside Shadeweaver's Thicket  7, 169, 560 to enter Vex Thal: Shadow Citadel.
  • Slay Rhag'Xiuhsiss in the Tower of Conscience  87, -31, -215.
  • Step into the blue beam of shadow for the Clinging Shadows buff  36, -19, -51, then use the teleporter  -102, -3, 30.
  • Click the door  1, -41, -292 and use the teleporter  -10, -41, -316.
  • Slay Enforcer Shaaho in the Chamber of Reincarnation  0, -3, 100.
  • Find the second blue beam of shadow  -67, 31, -196, then use the teleporter  -1, 20, -290.
  • Speak with Aten Ha Ra  -85, 88, -400, then defeat her to claim Aten Ha Ra's Breath of Kaas.
  • Use the portal to return to Shadeweaver's Thicket  0, -3, 100, then speak with Al'Kabor's projection at The Jharin Assemblage in Shar Vahl  -89, 31, -408.
